SECOND PHASE TEACHING PRACTICE - FIRST WEEK(OCTOBER 15-17)

The second phase of my teaching practice began on 15th October at KSMVHSS, Edavattom, the same school allotted to me earlier.

October 15, Wednesday

On the first day, I handled my regular timetable class in 8A. I taught the topic Cell Organelles from the chapter Cells and Cell Clusters. To make the lesson effective, I used ICT tools and charts, which helped students understand the structure and functions of various cell organelles clearly.

October 16, Thursday

During the second period, I had a class in 9A where I taught the topic Health of the Kidney using the Inquiry Training Model. The method encouraged students to think critically and participate actively. On the same day, I also received substitution duties in 9B and 10A.

October 17, Friday

In the 4th period, I got a substitution class in 8A, where I taught the topic Plastids using different learning aids to enhance understanding. In the last period, I again handled 8A and taught Plant Tissues – Simple Tissues using an innovative lesson plan. In the morning, an exhibition was conducted for the Higher Secondary section, which added a vibrant academic atmosphere to the school.

Weekly Summary (October 15-17)

This week included several special events alongside regular teaching. We reported to school by 9:15 a.m. and left by 3:50 p.m. every day. In addition to teaching various topics like cell organelles, plastids, health of the kidney, plant tissue. We also assisted in serving the mid-day meal. The week provided opportunities to engage students with innovative teaching methods and participate in events promoting awareness, peace, and cultural heritage.

SECOND PHASE TEACHING PRACTICE -SECOND WEEK(OCTOBER- 20 - 25)

October 20, Monday Today was a public holiday on account of Diwali. Hence, no regular classes were conducted. October 21, Tuesday In the 4th period, I had a class in 9A, where I taught the topic Hemodialysis. During the 6th period, I got a substitution class in 8A and taught the topic Meristematic Tissues. October 22, Wednesday In the 3rd period, I had a class in 8A. I taught the topic Animal Cell using the Concept Attainment Model, which helped students understand the structure and functions of the animal cell through examples and non-examples. October 23, Thursday According to the timetable, I handled 9A during the 2nd period and taught the topic Kidney Transplantation. In the 5th period, I received a substitution in 8A, where I taught the topic Stem Cells. October 24, Friday Today, the school conducted Kalolsavam. Teaching Practice -Fourth week ( August 4 - August 8)

August 4, Monday Today, a morning assembly was conducted by 9 B. During the 3rd period, I had a class in 9 A and taught the "structure of the heart" using my innovative work. My interactive heart chart, designed like a WhatsApp conversation, helped students understand the topic easily and made the lesson more engaging. August 5, Tuesday In 9 A, I taught the "working of the heart "during my class. In the 6 th period, I had a substitution class in 9 A, where I taught "Heartbeat and ECG". August 6, Wednesday Today, in observance of Hiroshima Day, the school conducted a quiz program. After that quiz winners are selected. Then I taught Class 8 the topic "Contributions of Scientists in Chemical Evolution". Later, during a substitution in 9 A, I taught "pulse and blood pressure".
