SECOND PHASE TEACHING PRACTICE - 5th WEEK(NOVEMBER 10-14)
November 10 – Monday
During the 3rd period, I had a class in 9A, where I taught the topic Structural framework of various organisns. I also received a substitution period in the same class, during which I revised the previously learned topics to strengthen students’ understanding.
November 11- Tuesday
In the 4th period, I handled Class 9A and taught the topic Types of Joints. In addition, I received a substitution class in 9B, where I assisted in maintaining discipline and supporting classroom activities.
November 12 – Wednesday
During the 3rd period, I had a class in 8A, where I taught the topic Binomial Nomenclature, explaining its importance and rules with suitable examples.During the 6 th period I received a substitution class in 9 A. Where i taught the topic Body growth and Bone development & Muscle and exercise.
November 13 – Thursday
As per the timetable, I had a class in 9A during the 2nd period, where I taught the topic Disorders of bones and muscles,focusing on causes, symptoms, and preventive measures.
November 14 – Friday
In the 4th period, I received a substitution class in 9A. As the Mathematics teacher had given written work, I assisted in maintaining discipline and ensuring a quiet learning environment. During the last period, I had a regular class in 8A, where I taught the topic Methodology of Modern Classification.
Weekly Summary (November 10–14)
This week was academically productive and focused on strengthening students’ conceptual understanding. We reported to school by 9:15 a.m. and left by 3:50 p.m. each day. Regular and substitution classes were effectively handled in Classes 8 and 9. Topics such as structural framework of various organisms, types of joints, disorders to muscle and bones,binomial nomenclature, and modern classification were taught using clear explanations and revision strategies to reinforce learning.
Revision sessions and substitution periods were utilized effectively for classroom management and academic support. Along with teaching responsibilities, active participation in serving the mid-day meal continued daily, fostering responsibility and teamwork. Overall, the week contributed to improved teaching skills, better classroom control, and meaningful interaction with students.
