SECOND PHASE TEACHING PRACTICE -3rd WEEK (OCTOBER 27-31)
October 27, Monday
In the 3rd period, I had a class in 9A, where I taught the topic Movement in the Living World using the 5E Model, which helped students actively engage with the concept. I also received a substitution class in 9B.
October 28, Tuesday
In the 4th period, I handled 9A and taught the topic Means of Movement in Organisms.I also received an additional substitution class in 8A, during which I conducted a revision session on the unit Cells and Cell Clusters.
October 29, Wednesday
Today there was a strike. We reached the school and signed the attendance register, but no regular classes were conducted.
October 30, Thursday
According to the timetable, I had a class in 9A during the 2nd period. I taught the topic Body Movement and Muscle Tissue.I also received
a substitution class in 10A.
October 31, Friday
In the 7th period, I had a class in 8A, where I introduced the new chapter “Tree of Life” and taught the topic Scientists’ Contributions to the Classification of Organisms using the ICT Model.
Weekly Summary (October 27–31)
This week was academically meaningful despite interruptions due to a strike. We reported to school by 9:15 a.m. and left by 3:50 p.m. on working days. Regular and substitution classes were handled effectively in Classes 8 and 9.
Topics such as movement in the living world, means of movement in organisms, body movement and muscle tissue, and scientists’ contributions to classification were taught using innovative teaching strategies like the 5E Model and ICT-based teaching. A revision class on Cells and Cell Clusters was also conducted to reinforce prior learning. And also help to serving mid day meal.Even on the strike day, professional responsibility was maintained by reporting to school and signing attendance. Overall, the week contributed positively to classroom engagement, content mastery, and teaching practice experience.
