KERALAPIRAVI DAY QUIZ PROGRAM

As part of the Kerala Piravi Day celebrations, a quiz programme was organized by the teacher trainees to promote awareness about the history, culture, geography, and achievements of Kerala.

Students who showed interest and enthusiasm in quiz activities actively participated in the programme. The quiz included multiple rounds with questions related to Kerala’s heritage, history, different districts in kerala, railways, river etc.which helped to enhance students’ general knowledge and thinking skills.
The teacher trainees planned, organized, and conducted the quiz efficiently, ensuring fair participation and active involvement of all students. The atmosphere was lively and competitive, and the participants displayed a high level of enthusiasm and confidence throughout the programme.
At the end of the quiz, Ananya of Class 8A emerged as the winner by demonstrating excellent knowledge and quick response skills. She was awarded a prize in appreciation of her achievement, which motivated other students to participate in future academic activities.
Overall, the quiz programme was a successful subject association activity that enriched students’ learning experience, fostered healthy competition, and strengthened the connection between classroom learning and cultural awareness.

RISING AGAINST DRUG ABUSE - NSS INITIATIVES @ SVMCTE

On march 24, As part of the state-level initiative "Lahari Muktam Njanum Ente Kudumbavum" under the National Service Scheme (NSS), Our college SVMCTE, organized a series of powerful awareness activities aimed at eradicating drug abuse. The campaign included a poster-making competition, where students creatively depicted the harmful effects of drug use. The posters showcased a wide range of ideas—from the emotional struggles of addiction to the strength found in recovery—demonstrating the deep awareness and artistic talents of the participants. Reels were produced and shared on social media to spread strong anti-drug messages in a format relatable to today's youth. A high-energy flash mob was performed by students to grab public attention and convey the urgency of the issue. Pulamon Canal Cleaning Programme

On October 4,2024,the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of our college SVMCTE took part in the Clean Kerala initiative by organizing a cleanup event at the Pulamon canal in Kottarakkara. The volunteers worked diligently to remove waste, debris, and pollutants from the canal, contributing to the improvement of local water quality and the overall cleanliness of the area. This effort not only helped in preserving the natural ecosystem but also raised awareness among the local community about the importance of maintaining clean water bodies for both ecological balance and public health.
