DAY 3 - Community Living Camp

The third day of the Community Living Camp “Niramayam” was observed on Thursday, December 4. The day began with a morning assembly conducted by the Kalki group.For the day’s activities, duties were assigned as follows: the Dheera group handled programme arrangements, the Yodha group managed food and refreshments, the Kalki group was responsible for management and cleaning, and documentation was also carried out by the our group loka.

At 9:50 a.m., the session “ജീവതാളം” was conducted. The guest was introduced by Mr. Lal Mohan (Faculty, SVMCTE). The session was led by Mr. Shijo Shaji, Physical Education Teacher, Mother India Higher Secondary School, Chavarkadu, Parippally. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Mithila J. (Student).
Later, students took the “Youth for Digital India” pledge, highlighting the importance of responsible digital citizenship. At 10:00 a.m., a Digital Literacy Survey was conducted by visiting houses in the Kulakkada Grama Panchayat, aiming to assess the digital awareness of the local community.

In the afternoon, the programme “സ്നേഹസ്പർശം” was organized, during which students visited the Gandhibhavan Puthoor Old Age Home and distributed essential items, spreading care and compassion among the elderly.
After the programmes, the participants refreshed themselves. As the day coincided with Karthika, a lamp-lighting ceremony was observed by all, symbolizing hope and unity.  After dinner ,our group Loka presented a cultural programme in the form of a skit based on postpartum depression. The performance effectively highlighted the emotional challenges faced by new mothers and emphasized the importance of mental health awareness and family support.The day concluded with a feedback session, where students shared their experiences and reflections.

The third day of the camp was meaningful and impactful, reinforcing values of empathy, social responsibility, and collective living.
