ONAM CELEBRATION 🌼🌸🌼

The school celebrated Onam on 27 August 2025 with great enthusiasm and joy. The programme was inaugurated by our Headmistress, Smt. Smitha, who welcomed everyone and set the tone for a vibrant and meaningful celebration. Throughout the day, a variety of traditional Onam games such as tug-of-war, boat race, and other fun activities were conducted. Students participated with excitement, and teachers guided and encouraged them at every stage, ensuring full involvement and enjoyment.

After the games, the traditional Onam Sadya was served, bringing students and teachers together to share the delicious feast. The festive spirit continued as everyone captured memorable moments by taking selfies and group photos. As a teacher trainee, I had a wonderful opportunity to assist the teachers, interact with students, and be an active part of the celebration, which made the experience truly enriching.

The college also celebrated Onam with colourful programmes presented by first-year and second-year students. A grand Onam Sadya was provided, and the celebration was filled with music, dance, and cheerful interactions. I also took many photos with my teachers, friends, and even with Maveli, making the day even more memorable.

Overall, the celebrations highlighted the rich cultural traditions of Kerala and strengthened the sense of joy, unity, and togetherness in both school and college.

The educational tour titled Thimirpp , organized by the SVMCTE 24–26 batch, was an exhilarating and memorable six-day journey that blended adventure, cultural immersion, and relaxation. The trip began on February 20, 2025, with students embarking on a well-organized tour to four popular destinations in Karnataka: Coorg, Chikkamagaluru, Bailoor (Belur), and Udupi. Pulamon Canal Cleaning Programme

On October 4,2024,the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of our college SVMCTE took part in the Clean Kerala initiative by organizing a cleanup event at the Pulamon canal in Kottarakkara. The volunteers worked diligently to remove waste, debris, and pollutants from the canal, contributing to the improvement of local water quality and the overall cleanliness of the area. This effort not only helped in preserving the natural ecosystem but also raised awareness among the local community about the importance of maintaining clean water bodies for both ecological balance and public health.

RISING AGAINST DRUG ABUSE - NSS INITIATIVES @ SVMCTE

On march 24, As part of the state-level initiative "Lahari Muktam Njanum Ente Kudumbavum" under the National Service Scheme (NSS), Our college SVMCTE, organized a series of powerful awareness activities aimed at eradicating drug abuse. The campaign included a poster-making competition, where students creatively depicted the harmful effects of drug use. The posters showcased a wide range of ideas—from the emotional struggles of addiction to the strength found in recovery—demonstrating the deep awareness and artistic talents of the participants. Reels were produced and shared on social media to spread strong anti-drug messages in a format relatable to today's youth. A high-energy flash mob was performed by students to grab public attention and convey the urgency of the issue.
