Teaching Practice- Second Week (July 21 - July 26)

July 21, Monday

We reached school at 9:15 a.m. and were assigned discipline duty. An assembly was conducted in connection with" Chandra Dinam", during which a student dressed as Neil Armstrong and many students presented performances and experiments. After the assembly, everyone went to their respective classes. In the 3rd period, I had a class in 9 A, where I taught the topic "structure of teeth "using ICT and charts.

July 22,Tuesday

Today, due to a strike, no regular classes were conducted. However, we reported to the school and signed the attendance register.

July 23, Wednesday

In the 3rd period, I had a class in 8 A, where I taught the topic "Geographical Indication". During the 5th period, I got a substitution in 9 A and taught the topic "Swallowing"

July 24, Thursday

Today was a holiday on account of Karkkidaka Vavu.

July 25, Friday

The mid-term examination began today. We were assigned exam duty for the first period. After the exam, regular classes were held. In the 3rd period, I got a substitution in 9 A, where I taught "Chemical Digestion in Mouth, Esophagus, and Stomach".In the 8th period, I had a class in 8 A and taught the topic "Diversity in Agriculture".

July 26, Saturday

Following Thursday’s timetable, Saturday classes were conducted. Today, I also had exam duty. During the 3rd and 4th periods, I got a substitution in 9 A, where I completed the remaining portion of Chemical Digestion in the Liver, Pancreas, Small Intestine, and Large Intestine.

Weekly Summary

Throughout the week, we entered the school by 9:15 a.m. and left by 3:50 p.m. Every day, we assisted in serving the mid-day meal. Also I used charts, ICT videos, images, and activity cards for teaching,which helped in making the lessons more effective and engaging.

The educational tour titled Thimirpp , organized by the SVMCTE 24–26 batch, was an exhilarating and memorable six-day journey that blended adventure, cultural immersion, and relaxation. The trip began on February 20, 2025, with students embarking on a well-organized tour to four popular destinations in Karnataka: Coorg, Chikkamagaluru, Bailoor (Belur), and Udupi. RISING AGAINST DRUG ABUSE - NSS INITIATIVES @ SVMCTE

On march 24, As part of the state-level initiative "Lahari Muktam Njanum Ente Kudumbavum" under the National Service Scheme (NSS), Our college SVMCTE, organized a series of powerful awareness activities aimed at eradicating drug abuse. The campaign included a poster-making competition, where students creatively depicted the harmful effects of drug use. The posters showcased a wide range of ideas—from the emotional struggles of addiction to the strength found in recovery—demonstrating the deep awareness and artistic talents of the participants. Reels were produced and shared on social media to spread strong anti-drug messages in a format relatable to today's youth. A high-energy flash mob was performed by students to grab public attention and convey the urgency of the issue. Pulamon Canal Cleaning Programme

On October 4,2024,the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of our college SVMCTE took part in the Clean Kerala initiative by organizing a cleanup event at the Pulamon canal in Kottarakkara. The volunteers worked diligently to remove waste, debris, and pollutants from the canal, contributing to the improvement of local water quality and the overall cleanliness of the area. This effort not only helped in preserving the natural ecosystem but also raised awareness among the local community about the importance of maintaining clean water bodies for both ecological balance and public health.
