INDEPENDENCE DAY PROGRAMME🇮🇳
On August 15, KSMVHSS Edavattom celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotism in the school auditorium. The program began with the flag hoisting ceremony by our school manager, Sri. Krishnankutty Nair sir,who also delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and the importance of preserving our nation’s freedom. The day before Independence Day, a quiz competition was conducted to create awareness about India’s freedom struggle, and the winners, Archana Shaji and Gouri Nandha from Class 8, were awarded prizes during the celebration. Students also participated by coming dressed as various freedom fighters such as Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Bharat Mata, Rani Lakshmi Bai, Indira Gandhi, Sarojini Naidu, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, and many others. A vibrant rally was organized from Edavattom to Pavithreswaram, where students marched with full energy, raising powerful slogans related to Independence Day and freedom.
After the rally, everyone returned to school, where further programs were conducted. The Principal, Smt. Sheeja, Headmistress Smt. Smitha, PTA members, and teachers addressed the gathering with motivating speeches. Students showcased their talents through a variety of programs including patriotic speeches, songs, dances, and skits, which made the event truly colorful and memorable. The celebration concluded with the distribution of food for all students, fostering unity and joy among everyone. The entire program not only honored the struggles of our great leaders but also reminded the younger generation of their responsibility to uphold the values of freedom, democracy, and national pride.
