School Induction Programme

The five-day School Induction Program organized by Sri Vidyadhi Raja College of Teacher Education took place from November 28 to December 2, 2024, at SVM Higher Secondary School. The program was designed to familiarize B.Ed. trainees with the real-time functioning of a school environment. Throughout the program, we explored various aspects such as the daily schedule and class routines, subjects handled by teachers, the school’s history, and details about the founder and teaching/non-teaching staff. We observed the physical infrastructure of the school, including the student-maintained vegetable garden, and took note of the school’s active participation in NSS, NCC, and other co-curricular activities. We served mid- day  meal to the students. The school’s consistent achievements in academic and extracurricular competitions at sub-district and state levels were also highlighted. A key component of the program was attending demonstration classes conducted by experienced teachers, which provided us with valuable insights into teaching strategies, student engagement, and classroom management. Interactions with the principal and staff were highly informative and supportive, helping us to gather comprehensive information. Overall, the School Induction Program was a meaningful and enjoyable experience that enhanced our understanding of school operations and strengthened our preparedness for the teaching profession.
