REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION 🇮🇳

The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Sri Vidyadhiraja Model College of Teacher Education on 24th January 2025. The event, organized by the Department of Mathematics, was inaugurated by our Principal, Dr. Lalamani P., who addressed the students on the significance of the Constitution and the democratic spirit of India.

The programme featured a patriotic song by the Mathematics Department, a vibrant dance by the Natural Science Department, and a thought-provoking mime by the Social Science Department. A quiz competition conducted by the Physical Science Department tested participants' knowledge of Indian history and governance. The Commerce Department organized fun-filled games that promoted team spirit and active student participation.

In addition, a creative skit was staged showcasing the evolution of India as a republic, and a video presentation highlighted the contributions of national leaders. The well-coordinated anchoring and enthusiastic audience participation added to the vibrancy of the programme.

The celebration concluded with the singing of the National Anthem. Overall, the event successfully instilled patriotic values and reflected the unity, creativity, and talent of the student community.

The educational tour titled Thimirpp , organized by the SVMCTE 24–26 batch, was an exhilarating and memorable six-day journey that blended adventure, cultural immersion, and relaxation. The trip began on February 20, 2025, with students embarking on a well-organized tour to four popular destinations in Karnataka: Coorg, Chikkamagaluru, Bailoor (Belur), and Udupi. RISING AGAINST DRUG ABUSE - NSS INITIATIVES @ SVMCTE

On march 24, As part of the state-level initiative "Lahari Muktam Njanum Ente Kudumbavum" under the National Service Scheme (NSS), Our college SVMCTE, organized a series of powerful awareness activities aimed at eradicating drug abuse. The campaign included a poster-making competition, where students creatively depicted the harmful effects of drug use. The posters showcased a wide range of ideas—from the emotional struggles of addiction to the strength found in recovery—demonstrating the deep awareness and artistic talents of the participants. Reels were produced and shared on social media to spread strong anti-drug messages in a format relatable to today's youth. A high-energy flash mob was performed by students to grab public attention and convey the urgency of the issue. Pulamon Canal Cleaning Programme

On October 4,2024,the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of our college SVMCTE took part in the Clean Kerala initiative by organizing a cleanup event at the Pulamon canal in Kottarakkara. The volunteers worked diligently to remove waste, debris, and pollutants from the canal, contributing to the improvement of local water quality and the overall cleanliness of the area. This effort not only helped in preserving the natural ecosystem but also raised awareness among the local community about the importance of maintaining clean water bodies for both ecological balance and public health.
