NATIONAL STARTUP DAY

The Commerce department proudly organized a grand program on the occasion of National Startup Day on January 17 in our college seminar hall. The event was aimed at promoting the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among students and turned out to be a great success.

A major highlight of the celebration was a special event titled "Shark Tank", inspired by the popular television show that provides a platform for budding entrepreneurs to pitch their innovative products and services to potential investors. They invited students from various optional subjects to present their unique startup ideas. Each student team introduced a new product or service, incorporating features that were not only creative but also environmentally friendly.

The students enthusiastically showcased their innovative thinking, and their presentations reflected originality, market relevance, and a strong sense of social responsibility. The Shark Tank segment turned out to be highly engaging and was appreciated by both the audience and faculty members.

Following the Shark Tank activity, a quiz and a passive round related to startups and entrepreneurship were conducted. These activities tested students’ knowledge about the startup ecosystem and further kindled interest in entrepreneurial ventures.

The program concluded with a video presentation featuring our Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting his initiatives and vision regarding Startup India and the promotion of young entrepreneurs. This served as a source of motivation for all attendees, reinforcing the significance of startups in driving India’s economic growth.

Overall, the event was a memorable and inspiring experience for all participants and attendees. It successfully met its objective of nurturing entrepreneurial spirit among students and celebrating the innovative ideas of the next generation

RISING AGAINST DRUG ABUSE - NSS INITIATIVES @ SVMCTE

On march 24, As part of the state-level initiative "Lahari Muktam Njanum Ente Kudumbavum" under the National Service Scheme (NSS), Our college SVMCTE, organized a series of powerful awareness activities aimed at eradicating drug abuse. The campaign included a poster-making competition, where students creatively depicted the harmful effects of drug use. The posters showcased a wide range of ideas—from the emotional struggles of addiction to the strength found in recovery—demonstrating the deep awareness and artistic talents of the participants. Reels were produced and shared on social media to spread strong anti-drug messages in a format relatable to today's youth. A high-energy flash mob was performed by students to grab public attention and convey the urgency of the issue. Pulamon Canal Cleaning Programme

On October 4,2024,the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of our college SVMCTE took part in the Clean Kerala initiative by organizing a cleanup event at the Pulamon canal in Kottarakkara. The volunteers worked diligently to remove waste, debris, and pollutants from the canal, contributing to the improvement of local water quality and the overall cleanliness of the area. This effort not only helped in preserving the natural ecosystem but also raised awareness among the local community about the importance of maintaining clean water bodies for both ecological balance and public health.
