FAREWELL ✨️๐๐บ
The students of the Concordia Union (2023–25) at SVMCTE successfully organized a heartfelt farewell program for our beloved Seniors, who have always been a guiding light and great support to us throughout our journey.
The farewell, titled “Nannayi Varatte” was held in the college seminar hall at 10:00 AM. The event was officially inaugurated by Sri Goutham Krishna, Manager of SVMCTE. The program began with a soulful prayer by the college choir, followed by a warm welcome speech delivered by Soorya Mol, a first-year B.Ed. student.
Our respected Principal, Dr. Lalamani P., delivered the presidential address, expressing her appreciation and blessings for the outgoing batch. The inaugural address was then given by Sri Goutham Krishna, who shared inspiring words and memories with the gathering.
Following this, one student representative from each department came forward to share their personal experiences, fond memories, and heartfelt gratitude towards the teachers and college.
To add fun and laughter to the event, several engaging games and activities were organized. One such highlight was a game where a random senior picked a chit containing the name of a beloved teacher, and then enacted the teacher’s mannerisms. Other students had to guess who the teacher was—a delightful and entertaining segment filled with laughter and nostalgia.
Another unique and fun activity was when a girl was paired with a boy and was given the task of draping a saree on him within a time limit—a hilarious and memorable moment that had everyone cheering and laughing!
After the games, a delicious meal of fried rice and chicken curry was served, followed by a joyful photo session with our seniors to capture the memories.
The most emotional part of the program was a surprise video presentation that featured short video clips and photographs of our seniors throughout their college life—including moments from tours, camps, cultural events, and everyday campus life. These beautiful memories were later displayed on a wall collage as a token of remembrance.
The felicitation speeches were given by Mrs. Sreelekshmi L., Assistant Professor of Art Education, and Mini N.P., a first-year B.Ed. student, who shared touching words about the bond between juniors and seniors.
The event concluded with a sincere vote of thanks by Anoop P., also a first-year B.Ed. student, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the farewell.
