DRAMA FEST🎭

The College Union of Sri Vidyadhiraja Model College of Teacher Education, Vendar, Kottarakkara organized the much-anticipated Drama Fest 2K25 on 20th March 2025 in the college seminar hall. The program commenced at 10:00 AM with a melodious prayer by the college choir. This was followed by a warm welcome speech delivered by Midhila J, the Arts Club Secretary. The principal of the college, Dr. Lalamani P, then addressed the gathering with an inspiring presidential address, emphasizing the importance of creative expression and drama in the field of education. The event was officially inaugurated by Sri. Gautham Krishna, Manager of SVMCTE, who appreciated the efforts of the organizers and encouraged students to actively participate in cultural activities.

The felicitation session included motivating words from Mrs. Sree Lekshmi L (Assistant Professor in Art Education), Mrs. Anjali Murali (Assistant Professor in Physical Science Education), and Navya S Jeevan (1st-year B.Ed student), all of whom highlighted the importance of integrating arts in education. After the formal session, the stage came alive with an array of vibrant performances. Each group of students presented a different type of drama, showcasing their creativity, teamwork, and dramatic flair. The audience enjoyed a variety of genres including historical dramas based on freedom struggles, social dramas highlighting current issues such as gender equality and mental health, mythological plays inspired by Indian epics, comic skits that brought moments of laughter, and silent mime acts that conveyed powerful messages without words. The diversity of themes and performance styles demonstrated the depth of talent among the students and made the event both entertaining and thought-provoking.

The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Anoop P, a 1st-year B.Ed student, who expressed gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the event. Drama Fest 2K25 was a memorable celebration of talent, culture, and expression, and it reinforced the vital role of the performing arts in education and community building.

The trip began on February 20, 2025, with students embarking on a well-organized tour to four popular destinations in Karnataka: Coorg, Chikkamagaluru, Bailoor (Belur), and Udupi. RISING AGAINST DRUG ABUSE - NSS INITIATIVES @ SVMCTE

On march 24, As part of the state-level initiative "Lahari Muktam Njanum Ente Kudumbavum" under the National Service Scheme (NSS), Our college SVMCTE, organized a series of powerful awareness activities aimed at eradicating drug abuse. The campaign included a poster-making competition, where students creatively depicted the harmful effects of drug use. The posters showcased a wide range of ideas—from the emotional struggles of addiction to the strength found in recovery—demonstrating the deep awareness and artistic talents of the participants. Reels were produced and shared on social media to spread strong anti-drug messages in a format relatable to today's youth. A high-energy flash mob was performed by students to grab public attention and convey the urgency of the issue. Pulamon Canal Cleaning Programme

On October 4,2024,the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of our college SVMCTE took part in the Clean Kerala initiative by organizing a cleanup event at the Pulamon canal in Kottarakkara. The volunteers worked diligently to remove waste, debris, and pollutants from the canal, contributing to the improvement of local water quality and the overall cleanliness of the area. This effort not only helped in preserving the natural ecosystem but also raised awareness among the local community about the importance of maintaining clean water bodies for both ecological balance and public health.
