BLOOD DONATION AWARENESS CLASS 🩸

On 3rd February 2025, Sree Vidyadhiraja Model College of Teacher Education, Vendar, Kottarakkara, organized an insightful Blood Donation Awareness Class in the college Seminar Hall. The session began at 10:00 a.m. and witnessed active participation from students and faculty.

The event featured Mr. S. Ravi, Senior Blood Bank Officer from MMHRC (Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research Centre), Madurai, Tamil Nadu, as the guest speaker. Known for his expertise in blood banking and donation awareness, Mr. Ravi led the session under the theme: “Give blood, give plasma, share life, share often.”

During his talk, Mr. Ravi explained the importance of blood and plasma donation, the safety measures followed, and how each donation can make a difference in saving lives. He also addressed common myths and fears, encouraging everyone to consider regular voluntary donation.

The session was highly interactive, with students asking thoughtful questions related to the topic. Mr. Ravi responded with clear, detailed explanations that deepened the participants’ understanding and interest.We gave him a ceremonial welcome and honoured him with a shawl and memento.

As a token of appreciation, the college honored Mr. Ravi with a troply symbolizing respect and gratitude. The program was well-received and left a meaningful impact on the attendees, promoting awareness and responsibility toward the noble cause of blood donation.
