The educational tour titled Thimirpp , organized by the SVMCTE 24–26 batch, was an exhilarating and memorable six-day journey that blended adventure, cultural immersion, and relaxation. The trip began on February 20, 2025, with students embarking on a well-organized tour to four popular destinations in Karnataka: Coorg, Chikkamagaluru, Bailoor (Belur), and Udupi. Traveling in a 49-seater airbus, the tour provided an excellent opportunity for students to explore the beauty of nature, enjoy exciting activities, and bond with classmates outside the academic environment. The first day commenced with students departing from college at 3:00 PM. The bus journey itself was lively, filled with music, laughter, and games. It set the perfect tone for the tour ahead, helping students settle into the rhythm of travel and connect with one another. On march 24, As part of the state-level initiative "Lahari Muktam Njanum Ente Kudumbavum" under the National Service Scheme (NSS), Our college SVMCTE, organized a series of powerful awareness activities aimed at eradicating drug abuse. The campaign included a poster-making competition, where students creatively depicted the harmful effects of drug use. The posters showcased a wide range of ideas—from the emotional struggles of addiction to the strength found in recovery—demonstrating the deep awareness and artistic talents of the participants. Reels were produced and shared on social media to spread strong anti-drug messages in a format relatable to today's youth. A high-energy flash mob was performed by students to grab public attention and convey the urgency of the issue. On October 4,2024,the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of our college SVMCTE took part in the Clean Kerala initiative by organizing a cleanup event at the Pulamon canal in Kottarakkara. The volunteers worked diligently to remove waste, debris, and pollutants from the canal, contributing to the improvement of local water quality and the overall cleanliness of the area. This effort not only helped in preserving the natural ecosystem but also raised awareness among the local community about the importance of maintaining clean water bodies for both ecological balance and public health.
