The Concordia College Union organized a grand Fresher’s Day Programme on 13th October 2025 at the Seminar Hall of Sri Vidyadhiraja Model College of Teacher Education, Vendar, Kottarakkara. The event was planned to warmly welcome the new first-year students into the college community. As seniors, we did not perform any stage programmes, but we took full responsibility for organizing, coordinating, and guiding the juniors throughout the event. The juniors presented a variety of performances, including songs, dances, skits, and other fun activities, making the programme lively and entertaining. They also participated enthusiastically in several games and interactive sessions arranged as part of the celebration. QUIZ COMPETITION - DRUG ABUSE

⭐ Awareness Programme on ‘Life is Beautiful: Implications of Drug Use’ at  Vendar As part of the awareness programme “Life is Beautiful: The Implications of Drug Use,” we visited SVMMHSS Vendar on 9th October and organized a variety of activities across different classes. The aim of the programme was to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug use and to encourage healthy lifestyle choices among students. Various sessions such as debates, quiz competitions, poster making, video presentation, story writing,and drawing activities were conducted to actively engage the learners. Our group of three conducted a quiz competition for the students of SVMMHSS, where the participants showed great enthusiasm and knowledge. Teaching Practice 9 th Week (September 15 - September 17)

September 15 – Monday During the 3rd period, I handled the class for 9A and taught the topic Alveolar Gas Exchange. In addition to the regular class, I conducted a conscientization program for Class 9A on the topic " Organic Farming". The session helped students understand the importance of eco-friendly agricultural practices and sustainable living. September 16 – Tuesday In the 4th period, I taught 9A the topic Cellular Respiration and Gas Exchange. The class was interactive, and students participated actively by answering questions and sharing their ideas. September 17 – Wednesday Today marked the last day of this phase of teaching practice. Our Physical Education sir visited our class for observation, and as a team, we presented a yoga demonstration for the students, which was appreciated by all. Conscientization Program on Organic Farming On 15th September 2025 at 10:00 am, a conscientization program on the topic “Embracing Organic Practices: Sustainable Farming for a Healthier Life” was conducted in class 9 A. The program was inaugurated by Smt. Smitha Ma’am, Headmistress, and was aimed at creating awareness among students about the importance of organic farming. We—Priya Murali, Sivapriya, and Krishnendhu—conducted the awareness class with the help of a PowerPoint presentation and video presentation. During the session, we explained the principles and benefits of organic farming, highlighting its role in promoting environmental sustainability, healthy food consumption, and reduction of chemical usage in agriculture. The magazine inauguration of our school was conducted on 12th September 2025 at 10 a.m. in the school auditorium. The event was formally inaugurated by Smt. Smitha Ma’am, our respected Headmistress, who appreciated the efforts of both students and teachers in making the magazine a reality. Prior to the event, we had collected various creative works, including drawings, poems, and stories, from students of classes 8 and 9. Our school magazine serves as a platform to showcase the artistic and literary talents of students, reflecting their creativity, imagination, and perspectives on various themes. The magazine includes a diverse range of contributions, from thought-provoking poems and short stories to beautiful sketches and informative articles, making it a true reflection of student expression. Teaching Practice 8 th Week (September 8 - September 12)

September 8 – Monday After the Onam vacation, the school reopened on September 8. During the 3rd period, I handled the class for 9A and began the new chapter Respiration and Excretion. Using the Concept Attainment Model, I taught the topic Respiration and the Respiratory System. Students responded well and were able to identify the key ideas through examples and non-examples. September 9 – Tuesday In the 4th period, I had class with 9A. I conducted a Diagnostic Test on the topic Working of the Heart to assess students’ prior understanding. Based on the results, I also carried out Remedial Teaching to clarify their doubts and strengthen their concepts. September 10 – Wednesday According to the timetable, I took the first period for 8A and started the new unit Cells and Cell Clusters. I taught Cell Theory and introduced the scientists associated with its development. ONAM CELEBRATION 🌼🌸🌼

The school celebrated Onam on 27 August 2025 with great enthusiasm and joy. The programme was inaugurated by our Headmistress, Smt. Smitha, who welcomed everyone and set the tone for a vibrant and meaningful celebration. Throughout the day, a variety of traditional Onam games such as tug-of-war, boat race, and other fun activities were conducted. Students participated with excitement, and teachers guided and encouraged them at every stage, ensuring full involvement and enjoyment. After the games, the traditional Onam Sadya was served, bringing students and teachers together to share the delicious feast. The festive spirit continued as everyone captured memorable moments by taking selfies and group photos. As a teacher trainee, I had a wonderful opportunity to assist the teachers, interact with students, and be an active part of the celebration, which made the experience truly enriching.
